Lisa A. Austin

Ms. Austin has over 25 years of senior policy and communications leadership experience. Over that time, Lisa achieved successful outcomes in diverse governmental areas of expertise including Federal appropriations, the U.S. General Services Administration (GSA), the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) and the U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT).

Prior to joining Galvan & Associates, Lisa served as the Associate Administrator for GSA’s Congressional and Intergovernmental Affairs office. As the lead representative for the agency regarding legislation, investigations, and inquiries; she worked to advance the Administration’s legislative and policy program priorities through Congress as well as coordinate interagency initiatives. She also provided strategic advice and policy recommendations to the GSA Administrator as well as senior Administration officials at the Office of Management and Budget and the Executive Office of the President.

Lisa also served as Chief of Staff to U.S. Congressman Brian Baird (D-WA) for over six years. As the Congressman’s chief policy and political advisor, she developed and implemented his legislative policy objectives (such as Transportation and Infrastructure), communications strategies, and operating plans for the offices.
