Karl Brimmer

Karl has a proven track record working with senior agency officials to improve government operations both as a Federal manager and a senior Galvan consultant. At the Federal Communication Commission (FCC), Mr. Brimmer ensured appropriate program management and budgeting. He reviewed and evaluated all major actions, including rulemaking, taken by the Commission. He helped reduce agency personnel by 14 percent; increased licensing productivity over 50 percent; and reduced burden hours on the public by 67 percent.

Mr. Brimmer specializes in improving agency operations. Prior to the FCC, he established new tracking, reporting and modeling processes for the U.S. Small Business Administration that resulted in elimination of unprecedented backlogs of disaster loan applications, increased operational efficiency in the 8(a) program and loan service centers, and reduced the need for field operations personnel. Using advanced statistical techniques and software, Karl also established comprehensive means of evaluating lender performance for all SBA lending programs.
